Londonien d’adoption, élevé par une mère anglo-jamaïcaine et un père français, Hendrix Harris trouve ses racines dans le monde entier. Le fait d’avoir passé une partie de son enfance à La Havane a grandement façonné son identité, en tant qu’individu et artiste. Ses liens avec Cuba ont fait de lui un artiste sans frontières, grâce à des collaborations avec des artistes de renommée internationale tels que Cimafunk (nominé aux Grammy Awards) ou le rappeur et parolier Barbaro el Urbano Vargas.
Chanteur/rappeur, compositeur et producteur aux multiples facettes, l’univers de Harris est fait de mélodies inoubliables, d’un ton rauque singulier, d’une écriture poétique et authentique et d’un indéniable talent de producteur. Sa musique est une fusion unique de genres allant du R&B à la soul contemporaine en passant par le hip-hop, teintée d’une liberté sans limites propre au jazz.
L’année dernière, il a attiré l’attention de médias tels que Complex, Wonderland, Clash et Colors qui l’ont acclamé pour son style unique et sa polyvalence. Son précédent single “The Hill” figurait sur la bande-son officielle de la FIFA 2022 aux côtés d’artistes tels que Little Simz et Pa Salieu.
L’EP “Blue”, un étonnant projet R&B alternatif explorant sur 5 titres les profondeurs des peines sentimentales, est paru le 19 mai 2023 ; accompagné d’un clip poétique pour son single “It’s Not You”, réalisé par Lauren Luxenberg.
